Rt. 128 Overnight Closures On The North Shore

Work will start June 24 and take about two months to complete.

PEABODY, MA – Overnight roadway construction on Rt. 128 will start the evening of Sunday, June 24 on ramps in Danvers and Peabody, according to MassDOT. Construction will happen nightly between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. until September.

Temporary overnight traffic impacts including lane and ramp closures will be necessary throughout the project.

The work zone on Rt. 128 is approximately between its intersection with Rt. 114 in Peabody and its intersection with Endicott Street in Danvers. Work includes milling of the existing pavement, paving, repairing and adjusting drainage structures, installing new lock down castings on catch basins and placing pavement markings and slotted pavement markers.

Signs, traffic control devices, message boards and police details will be used to guide drivers through the work zones. These operations are weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
