Shaking up the Holiday Concerts, Big Band Style This Weekend

This year's concerts feature the Beantown Swing Orchestra.

For this year’s Peabody holiday concerts, the city is swinging back to the Big Band era.

Tickets for the city’s annual Holiday Concerts are now on sale at Peabody City Hall. This year’s concerts will take place on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6.

On Saturday, dinner will be offered at 7:00 p.m. with the concert scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday, dinner will be offered at 5:00 p.m. with the concert starting at 6:00 p.m. Dessert and coffee will be served during intermission, and per usual, a cash bar will be available.

This holiday season, the city is embracing an exciting new change and shaking things up. The Peabody Concert Committee is proud to present A Big Band Christmas, featuring the Beantown Swing Orchestra. This renowned band specializes in vintage Swing Era and Sinatra classics and will perform many of your holiday favorites and all-time seasonal classics.

The band will be accompanied by the Peabody High School Chorale, under the direction of Mr. Jon Simmons. Concert-goers will have an opportunity to experience the talent of our community’s brilliant young performers during this special holiday presentation.

Tickets to A Big Band Christmas are on sale now at Peabody City Hall and are only available through the Mayor’s Office. As always, tickets are sold on a first come-first served basis. Ticket prices are as follows: Orchestra table seats $45, Balcony table seats $40, and Balcony chair seats are $30. If you would like to dedicate a song to a loved one, or for a special occasion please contact Mary Bellavance in the Mayor’s Office. Tickets will not be available at the door.
