State Little League Champs Get Advice From Peabody’s Hosman

Peabody’s Matt Hosman certainly knows what it’s like to become a hometown superstar and have all of New England rooting for you...all the way to the Williamsport, Pa.

The Eagle Tribune reported earlier this week that Hosman, a member of the Peabody West team that made it to the Little League World Series two years ago, stopped by a recent practice both to watch the state champion team from Andover in action and to offer the players some advice before they head to Bristol, Conn. for the regional tournament this weekend.

Hosman will be attending Phillips Academy in Andover in the fall.

According to the Eagle Tribune report, Hosman fielded all sorts of questions, after recalling his own excitement at being in the World Series and for sending his team there with his walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning against Lincoln, R.I.
