Steven J. Batakis, Graduate of PVMHS Class of 2014, Passes Away in Tragic Accident
Steven J. Batakis, a life-long Peabody resident and graduate of PVMHS Class of 2014, passed away after a motorcycle accident.
Steven J. Batakis, a life-long resident of Peabody and Graduate of the PVMHS Class of 2014, passed away on May 4, 2017, after a tragic motorcycle accident. Steven, 21, was a student at the University of New Hampshire, studying Environmental Resource Economics.
Steven's family has lived on Goodale Street for 65 years, beginning with his grandparents Alphonse (d. 2012) and Josephine Batakis. Father Alan Batakis is also a life-long Peabody resident, and mother Sandra (Harris) Batakis is well-known in the community, as a member of numerous local organizations (such as the Chamber of Commerce and Peabody Education Foundation). Steven also leaves behind sisters Alexis (aged 19, PVMHS Class of 2016), twins Ashley and Samantha (aged 15), all of Peabody. The Batakis and Harris families will host a public service for Steven on Friday, May 12th from 4-8pm at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street in Peabody. Donations may be made on behalf of Steven J. Batakis to the Northeast Animal Shelter, and Music and Youth Organization.
