This Week in Social Media

Here's what was happening in the social media world of Peabody Patch this week.

Here at Peabody Patch, social media is a big deal. It’s one of the main ways we interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what’s on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week. We’ll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Overheard

Here is a sampling of comments and happenings on our Facebook page and the social media world from the past week:

  • There were some upset fans at the brief appearance by at the last weekend, particularly because she was supposed to talk for an hour, not 15 minutes. Those fans continued to vent their frustration on Monday when we shared a note of explanation from the mall, saying it had little control of the situation. "All I read is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!" said Mary Abboud Richardson. "Then why hold that kind of event in a mall? There's plenty of places around here that could of held this event," asked Michele Allen. "Very poorly written statement," added Kristin Cafarelli. And for Maria Catalano, it was simply "bull." To be fair, there were numerous fans who seemed unfazed by the brief glimpse at the teen star, but they didn't comment on our Facebook wall.
  • Diane Testa Del Bene was a fan of our image gallery on Little League softball action. "To all my facebook pals - these are my girls from Peabody," she said.
