Twist on the Taste of the North Shore - Adult Beverage Tastings!

Peabody Rotary Club Event Benefits Scholarship Fund & Grants for Nonprofits

The Rotary Club of Peabody is “mixing it up” this year by adding adult beverage tastings to their 14th Annual Taste of the North Shore. Cape Ann Brewing Company, Powell & Mahoney and Rumson’s Rum will join over 20 local restaurants at the event scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20th at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Danvers.

“Over the past 5 years, the Rotary Club of Peabody awarded $53,500 in scholarships to Peabody students. The Taste makes those scholarships and our year-round support for nonprofit organizations possible,” said Stephanie Johnson, Co-Chair of the event.

Some of the Club’s local grant projects include: the Farnham Playground accessibility project; the playground project at Citizens Inn; the kitchen project at Citizens’ Haven from Hunger program, CPR training for Peabody Veterans Memorial High School teachers, coaches, and administrators; and the purchase of defibrillators for PVMHS and Haven, swimming lessons at the Y for elementary school students and safety training for their parents.
