Update: Fatal Stabbing Victim Identified

A Peabody man is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday afternoon in connection with the stabbing death of his 55-year-old longtime girlfriend in their home at 1 Gates Road, Peabody,

The victim was identified as Cheryl Young, 55, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s office.

Brandon Hoar, 59, of 1 Gates Road, Peabody, will be arraigned for murder in Peabody District Court, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s office.

No one else was injured at the home.

Peabody Man Charged in Connection With Stabbing Death

Police were called at 8:30 Tuesday morning, according to authorities. Information on when the stabbing took place has not yet been released.
