Vets Honored With New Memorial at PVMHS

The new monument and flagpole honor PVMHS students who went to serve in the military.

A new monument at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School honors those who attended the school and went on to serve in the military.

Mayor Ted Bettencourt was among those on hand on Wednesday morning to help dedicate the new monument and flagpole at the high school.

The dedication was preceded by a veterans breakfast at the school prepared by the Air Force Junior ROTC and the Junior Rotary Club.

“Thanks to Veterans Agent Chris Tighe and the Peabody Veterans Council for their assistance with the flag pole and monument,” Bettencourt stated. “Thank you to Major Ruocco and the Air Force Junior ROTC. Thank you to Principal Eric Buckley, Abbie Gore and Superintendent Herb Levine for making everyone feel welcome.”
