The Water In Peabody Smells Bad, But It's Safe To Drink
The issue, which was caused by the recent warm weather, should resolve itself naturally within the next few days.

PEABODY, MA -- Peabody residents -- particularly those in Ward 5 -- who have noticed a strong odor in their water can rest easy. The water is safe to drink and the smell should go away in about a week. The snow also won't affect your plumbing, according to Ward 5 Councilor Mark O'Neill.
O'Neill reached out to the water department and posted what he learned on his Facebook page and the City of Peabody Community Group on Facebook Thursday morning. The post came after some posts fom residents complaining about a funny smell in their tap water.
