What's Open, Closed on Memorial Day 2016 in Peabody
Along with town offices and banks, by state law, liquor stores are also closed on Memorial Day in Massachusetts.

Monday, May 30, is Memorial Day, and the holiday means some businesses and other places in town will be closed.
Specifically, Town Hall will be closed in Peabody, along with liquor stores, which are closed on Memorial Day due to Massachusetts state law. Additionally, the Peabody Institute Library will be closed all weekend long.

- Schools: Closed
- Peabody Institute Library: Closed Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30.
- Banks: Closed
- Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only
- Supermarkets: Open
- Convenience stores: Open
- Retail stores: Open at owner’s discretion
- Restaurants, bars: Open at owner’s discretion
- Liquor stores: Closed
- Trash, recycling: Delayed one day.
