When Are Memorial Day Ceremonies in Peabody?

Memorial Day is May 27 this year and the city will be holding its annual services to commemorate fallen American soldiers.

Peabody will be remembering fallen veterans this coming weekend during the city's annual Memorial Day ceremonies. The host for this year's services is the North Shore Chapter Yankee Division Association commanded by John Stepenuck.

On Friday morning (9 a.m.), volunteers will gather at Cedar Grove Cemetery to place flags at the graves of veterans buried there, and then at 1 p.m., the city will celebrate the grand opening of the East End Veterans Memorial Park at 45 Walnut St.

On Sunday, a special Mass service will be held at St. Adelaide's Church at 8:30 a.m. followed by services at the Kiley Brothers Memorial School, Oak Grove Cemetery, the Lexington Monument and the Civil War Monument.
