YMCA to HOST CAMP OPEN HOUSE!
The Torigian YMCA, located at 259 Lynnfield Street in Peabody, is hosting a CAMP EASTMAN EXPERIENCE OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, February 10 from 11am-3pm! Camp Eastman has been serving the community for over 3 decades in programs and activities focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Camp is available to youth ages 4-15. The youngest group, ages 4-6 is based inside but have multiple opportunities to enjoy the low adventure ropes course, the swimming pool and the acres of nature trails. The oldest campers, ages 14-15, engage in leadership programs and service projects that are engaging and educational.
A typical day at YMCA camp includes a bountiful of activities including nature, sports and games, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) learning, swimming, low adventure ropes challenges, arts and crafts, songs and games and team building. Activities are based around session themes including Messy Olympics, Engineered for Fun and a Pirate’s Life! Campers ages 7 and above are transported to a weekly field trip while our younger campers have the fun come to the Y! Summer camp at the Torigian Y begins Monday, June 18 and runs in one-week sessions until August 31.

The open house will give families an opportunity to talk to YMCA Camp Leadership and learn more about what the summer of 2018 has in store for fun! In addition, if weather permits, interested families will have the chance to take a snow shoe tour around the camp property! Any YMCA family members that sign up for camp at this event will receive an added bonus of before and after camp care being just $18 per camp session! That is a savings of $42 per session. In addition, if you are not yet a family member, stop by and see the specials that await you! In addition, raffles, refreshments and camp activities will all be part of this fun-filled open house! Bring your kids and see what Camp Eastman is all about!
