10th Annual Holidays on the Green at The Pinehills

The day kicks off with “Breakfast with Santa” by reservation at Mamma Mia’s, from 8:00-11:00 am, and ends with a Christmas tree lighting at 5:00 pm. Activities begin at 11:00am and continue throughout the day. Shop the Holiday Artisan Market with locally handcrafted gifts. Enjoy horse drawn carriage rides, ornament making and cookie decorating for the kids, photos with Santa and more. This year, in addition to the farm animal petting zoo, local children’s author Brian Lies brings his musical petting zoo featured in his book Bats in the Band! Children can enjoy an author reading from the book, and play with a variety of instruments from his musical petting zoo he calls the “bats-mobile”.

Dress Up Your Doggie

The fur and the fun will fly again at the popular Reindog Parade! This year, the parade will be led by a Grand Marshall Dog, selected as the winner of The Pinehills’ pre-parade photo contest on Facebook. For details: www.facebook.com/thepinehills. Owners can register their dogs on site at 2:00 pm, and at 3:00pm, all pooches dressed in holiday attire will walk the parade, with the top three being awarded prizes.

Local bakeries are creating grand gingerbread houses and will be displayed for Silent Auction in the Holiday Artisan Market on the Village Green. Bidding opens at 11:00am on December 6th and the winning bidders will be announced at 4:00pm. All proceeds benefiting the Plymouth Food Warehouse.

Holidays on the Green is open to the public with many activities free of charge. The Shops at the Village Green including Setting the Space, Sylvia’s by the Sea, Charles David Salon, The Market and more will be open for holiday shopping., The Summerhouse Welcome Center and Model Homes are open for touring, 9:00am-5:00pm.
