400 Athletes Participate in Myles Standish Races Sept. 15 and 16
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Myles Standish State Forest and consists of a half marathon, a 10k and a kids' fun run and concludes with a sprint triathlon on Sunday.

Nearly 400 athletes are expected to take part in the third annual Amica 19.7 Boston in Carver, MA, this Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 15 and 16).
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Myles Standish State Forest and consists of a half marathon, a 10k and a kids’ fun run and concludes with a sprint triathlon on Sunday.
Triathletes will start with the half-mile mile swim in Fearing Pond, where the water temperature is anticipated to be about 74 degrees. The 16.1-mile bike ride follows, along a course with slightly rolling terrain. Finally, athletes will cover a 3.1-mile out and back run around Charge Pond.
Athletes interested in competing in Amica 19.7 Boston can register Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. or Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Fearing Pond in Myles Standish State Forest.
The Amica 19.7 Boston is part of the 2012 Amica Race Series, which includes nine sprint distance triathlons throughout the country. The events in Las Vegas, Knoxville and Boston also each include a half marathon, a 10k and a kids’ fun run.
