7-Year-Old Donates Thanksgiving Meals to Plymouth Families in Need
The Carver boy brought 20 Thanksgiving meals to the Plymouth Area Coalition on Sunday.

A 7-year-old boy visited the Plymouth Area Coalition on Sunday and brought with him Thanksgiving meals to give to those who can’t afford their own turkey dinners.
Shane McColgan, a second grader from Carver delivered 20 Thanksgiving meals to the Plymouth Area Coalition, according to the organization’s Facebook page.
McColgan decided to start up the “Shane’s Gives Thanks” food drive and has delivered Thanksgiving boxes to several local organizations.

He created and delivered 68 boxes on Sunday to the Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the Council on Aging Food Pantry and Pilgrims Hope in addition to the Plymouth Area Coalition.
McColgan also plans to extend his helping hand into Christmas as well. He was inducted into the Secret Santa Society where he will be collecting toys for children in need within his community, according to Shane’s Giving Thanks Facebook page.

Those who wish to help out can donate a new, unwrapped, non-violent toy or gift card to Shane’s Giving Train.
