The Accidental Band Premieres Debut Album Middleville
Seamless blend of Americana and Roots, touched by Folk and Bluegrass
New Bedford and Plymouth based Americana and Roots group The Accidental Band premieres their debut album, Middleville, on Saturday, March 28 on iTunes and at the band’s website, www.accidentalband.com. Two Album Release Concerts will be presented, on Saturday, March 28, 3 pm at Fay’s Restaurant, 613 Dartmouth Street, Dartmouth, and Friday, May 8, 9 pm at The New World Tavern, 56 Main Street, Plymouth.
Searching for that mythical destination where music lovers meet each other halfway, Middleville seamlessly blends Americana and Roots, touched by Folk and Bluegrass, rising to a new art form. Songwriters Butch McCarthy (guitar, piano and vocals), Angel Dombrowski (violin and vocals) and Steve Mazza (bass guitar) crafted 13 original songs inspired by early country/pop influences from the greats, including Hank Williams, Patsy Kline and The Everly Brothers. Bob Calderara (mandolin and vocals) and JB Borges (drums) round out the band’s full, complex sound, adding intricate harmonies bolstered by a driving beat.
Middleville’s title track takes to the open road, optimistically lyricizing about one last shot at happiness. Haunting songs of heartbreak follow with “Because of You” and “Petticoat Hill”, trickling through redemption with “Resurrect Me” and “True Blue Companion”, and contemplating playful love in “Huckleberry” and “California Calls”.
