PLYMOUTH, MA — A major retailer opened its newest storefront at a popular South Shore shopping center last week.
Nordstrom Rack debuted a 27,000-square-foot store at 242 Colony Place in Plymouth on Thursday. The business, known as an off-price retail division of Nordstrom, opened at the shopping center near Routes 3 and 44.
Construction began in November 2025. Business developers said the store was completed on time and on budget.
DLC Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Ressa said the company developed unused land at the shopping center to create space for the retailer.
"We created that opportunity by developing unused land within the center," Ressa said in a statement.
Nordstrom announced plans for the Plymouth store in July 2025. The company said the location would offer clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products and home decor, along with pickup for online orders and in-store returns.
Nordstrom Rack operates a dozen other locations in the Bay State, including in Boston, Braintree, Burlington, Danvers, Framingham, Hyannis, Mansfield, Millbury, Natick, Peabody and Westwood.
