Girl, 17, in custody after allegedly fleeing scene of head-on crash in Plymouth (bostonglobe.com) β A 17-year-old girl is in custody after allegedly fleeing a wellbeing check in Kingston, then later crashing head-on into another vehicle near Plympton and Carver roads in Plymouth. The adult male driver was seriously injured, extricated from his sedan, and flown from Plymouth Municipal Airport to a Boston trauma center, with criminal charges pending from both departments.

Pilgrims take the stage in a story told through ballet (plymouthindependent.org) β A professional Christian ballet company is bringing its Pilgrim-themed production "Anchored: The Pilgrim Story" to Plymouth Memorial Hall on Sept. 26, tying local history to the nation's 250th anniversary. Residents can see the Pilgrims, Wampanoag relations, and early self-government reimagined through dance, with scenes inspired by familiar Plymouth landmarks and stories.

Lindsay Clancy holdout juror hit with death threats and doxxing after lone verdict stand (meaww.com) β In Plymouth, fallout from the Lindsay Clancy mistrial has intensified as the lone juror opposing an insanity verdict reportedly faces death threats, doxxing, and online harassment. His attorney says a GiveSendGo fundraiser topping $330,000 will help him cover basic needs while he copes with the backlash over his stance in the Plymouth Superior Court case.

Big plays are too much for Plymouth South football to overcome vs. B-R (tauntongazette.com) β Plymouth South football fell 27-0 to Bridgewater-Raynham at the newly named Karl Braun Stadium, where a pregame ceremony honored the longtime Plymouth educator and athletic director. Despite some promising drives, big plays and special-teams moments from B-R proved decisive, as South now looks ahead to hosting Mansfield on Sept. 25.

Michael Berube, 75, master electrician (plymouthindependent.org) β Plymouth residents are mourning master electrician Michael Berube, 75, who died Sept. 9 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Family and friends can pay respects at visitation and a memorial service Oct. 3 at Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home in North Plymouth, with donations suggested to Make-A-Wish instead of flowers.
