PLYMOUTH, MA —The town of Plymouth is giving parents a chance to learn more about how local schools are working to keep students safe and supported.
On Wednesday, Oct. 28, a public meeting focused on Safety-Care will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mayflower Room at 11 Lincoln St.
The session will give families an inside look at the crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques used by Plymouth Public Schools.
Attendees will learn how these strategies help school staff recognize when students are struggling, respond to challenging situations and provide consistent support in the classroom.
Families will also gain a better understanding of how predictable routines and support can help students feel safe and create a more positive learning environment.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for parents to ask questions and learn more about the district's approach to student safety and well-being.
David Rourke, director of training and curriculum, will lead the session.
The event is free and open to the public.
