PLYMOUTH, MA — Some Plymouth businesses will soon face higher fees as the town prepares to roll out changes in 2027.
On Tuesday, Oct. 27, the Plymouth Select Board voted to increase liquor license and auto dealer permit fees, with the changes taking effect Jan. 1, 2027.
The decision comes after several years without fee adjustments.
According to the town, the increases are designed to bring Plymouth's fee schedule in line with neighboring communities while reflecting current costs and operational needs.
All affected businesses will be subject to an annual 3% fee adjustment, excluding administrative fees.
With the new year approaching, business owners are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the upcoming changes.
More information about the fee increases can be found online.
