Assistant Will Seek Town Manager Job
Melissa Arrighi has stated that she would like to be considered for the town manager job left vacant by Mark Stankiwicz's resignation last week.

ο»Ώο»ΏMelissa Arrighi, Plymouth's Assistant Town Manager for the past two town managers apparently didn't want the big job the last time it was open, even though she did the job for nearly a year after Mark Silvia left to take a job with the state.
Three years ago, after Silvia left, Arrighi declined to take the post full-time citing family obligations.
This time however, Arrighi seems prepared. According to WATD, Arrighi confirmed that she spoke with each member of the Board of Selectmen last week, telling them that she is interested in the job.

The job became available after Town Manager Mark Stankiewicz resigned last week. Rumors were that the board would place blame on Stankiewicz for the failure of several of the board's articles at Town Meeting.
Arrighi is expected to ο¬ll the town managerΚΌs position, as acting or permanent townΒ manager. According to the town's charter she can serve as acting townΒ manager for 180 days. At any point during that time, Selectmen can decide to conductΒ a search for a new town manager, and consider Melissa Arrighi as one ofΒ the candidates. Or she could be named to the post.
