Beverly’s Week in Arts: Elvis on Screen, Sold-Out Rock, and Farewell Tours

From Baz Luhrmann's Elvis documentary to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's farewell, here is what's happening in Beverly this week.

The local arts scene is heating up this week as The Cabot and Off Cabot prepare for a diverse lineup of film, music, and comedy.

At The Cabot, the week kicks off Wednesday and Thursday with the screening of “EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert.” This new documentary from director Baz Luhrmann features rare footage of the King of Rock 'n' Roll during his legendary Las Vegas residency.

The music continues Friday with a sold-out performance by Band of Horses, who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album Everything All The Time. On Saturday, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will take the stage as part of their "60 Years of Dirt" farewell tour. To close out the weekend, children's favorite Laurie Berkner will perform two sets on Sunday; however, fans are advised that tickets for these shows are currently limited.
