Plymouth Worker Killed in Freak Sand Avalanche

It happened at a sand pile on Hedges Pond Road Tuesday morning.

A worker operating a bulldozer for P.A. Landers in Plymouth was buried alive and died in freak sand avalanche Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at a work site at 143 Hedge’s Pond Rd.

The worker was identified as Charles Pace, 65, of Whitman.

Rescuers found the worker buried in a sand pile he was working on.
