Brewster Productions Announces Date for Plymouth Independent Music Festival
The local music production company celebrates its fifth year with the Plymouth Independent Music Festival this summer.

Local music company Brewster Productions has kicked off the celebration of its fifth year in business with the announcement of the Plymouth Independent Music Festival’s date and new venue for 2012. The festival will take place July 21 at Nelson Park, free and open to the public.
Billed as “a midsummer celebration of great original music”, the festival will showcase an all-star lineup of young local bands, plus some talented new faces from out of town.
“We’re really excited about our big all-day show this year,” said Jon Dorn, co-owner of Brewster Productions. “It’s going to be more of a true festival – we’ll have artists and crafters selling their work at booths around the park, and we’ve got some really great bands lined up to play.”

Headlining the festival are local favorites Jake Hill & Deep Creek, and Bloomington, Ind., indie-rock band Rodeo Ruby Love, who recently finished two national tours with Streetlight Manifesto and Reel Big Fish. Running for more than 8 hours, the concert will feature a number of up-and-coming local bands, like the Brightest Lights, from Boston.
“We want to make this a big event,” Scott McEwen, the other co-owner of Brewster Productions, said. “So we hope local businesses and artists will want to get involved by having a booth at the festival.”

Artists and crafters interested in having a 10-foot by 10-foot space at the event are encouraged to contact Brewster Productions at info@brewsterproductions.com.
“It’s going to be a really fun show, but right now our biggest challenge is raising money to make it as great as it can be,” Dorn said. “Right now we’re looking for more sponsors, and we’d love to talk with anyone interested in advertising with the festival.”
