Buy a Piano or Inflatable Boat at Plymouth Auction Saturday

There are a lot of cars and a lot of unusual items at the public auction held Saturday at the DPW's Maintenance Garage.

You could buy an inflatable boat or a baby grand piano Saturday during a public auction held by the town of Plymouth.

A public auction will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday May 19, at the Maintenance Garage, 159 Camelot Drive, Plymouth, for the sale of surplus property owned by the Town of Plymouth. Β A complete list of the items to be sold on the town’s website at www.plymouth-ma.gov.

All items will be available for inspection on the premises at 9 a.m. Saturday. All of the items in the auction will be sold in "as is" condition.

Among the items are a baby grand piano once used in the Plymouth schools, an inflatable boat once operated by the Plymouth Harbormaster, and several iPods, electronics, and even a typewriter.

There are also several outboard motors, a 1988 fire engine and 28 other vehicles.

Some items work, some will be good for parts or scrap, but it's all going. All vehicles were in use until replaced.

The town does not offer any expressed or implied warranty or guarantee as to the operability of the items sold nor should the buyer assume such warranty or guarantee.

The town reserves the right to reject any bids. Β The vehicles may be purchased with a 10 percent deposit and the balance paid (in the form of cash, money order, or certified check) within seven business days of the auction. All other purchases must be made at the auction in cash and items removed from town property the day of the auction.
