Many of us have worked so hard, perhaps attended college (or beyond), and made many sacrifices. Yet, it is easy to be chewed up by shifting technology, corporate consolidation or office politics. Now that you are of a certain age, what is next? Thoughts about volunteering, hobbies, health, and personal goals? Segueing to a career of greater meaning? 
A seminar titled “Senior Encore. Planning your next chapter.” will be held at the Duxbury Council on Aging, 10 Mayflower Street, Duxbury, 02332 and is set for Thursday April 30, 11 a.m. The seminar will be led by Mike Dwyer of Emplana, a career consultant. 
For those of us with long careers behind us, this is a chance to give back but we often have concerns about staying current. How do we find the next or final chapter? What resources are available to provide a road map? 
After a long career in the private and public sectors, consulting stints with Ernst &amp; Young and Deloitte Consulting and a Master's Degree in Management from Salve Regina university, Michael Dwyer and a select group of advisors developed Emplana, the career pathway. 
Emplana Career, based at Cambridge Innovation Center, primarily helps seniors discover their next chapter and white-collar professionals, especially in tech, financial services and accounting, law, risk, professional services. Emplana Career consultants have had high powered careers that involve leading advanced technology and business projects, which keeps the consulting advice current and relevant.

An accomplished entrepreneur and marketer, Bob Karlis has served as president/CEO of multiple successful businesses including start-up divisions of Johnson &amp; Johnson, Cadbury Schweppes, Millipore, and a series of smaller, privately held and financed ventures. With an impressive success rate leading business start-ups and turn-arounds, Bob founded CABOT Business Brokers as an outgrowth of his prior work with early-stage ventures and his identification of their need for a disciplined, experienced business approach when pursuing a sales transaction.
Paul R. Corrigan founded Rosetta Valuations to provide complete valuations services along with “feet on the street” business brokerage experience. He determined that one of the earliest and most critical issues in any decision to sell was the question of value.
Moderator Steve Dubin, founder of PR Works and My Pinnacle Network, has been helping businesses connect the dots for over three decades.
