Car Drives Off Cliff In Plymouth Sunday

The driver was rescued after his car plunged off a cliff Sunday evening.

PLYMOUTH, MA –The driver of a car that went over a cliff in Plymouth was hospitalized Sunday, according to reports. The driver was pulled out of the car by bystanders, one of whom shattered the car's window with a rock.

The incident happened on Strand Avenue around 5:20 p.m., NBC Boston reported.

The car plunged about 20-30 feet onto a patch of land about a third of the way to the ground. Reports say if the driver had been going any faster, he would have cleared the bluff and plummeted about 90 feet to the ground.
