Cold Springs Fourth Graders Take a State House Tour
Senate President Murray Welcomes Fourth Graders from Cold Springs School.

Senate President Therese MurrayΒ welcomed more than 30 fourth-graders from the Cold Springs Elementary School in Plymouth to the State House Wednesday.
The fourth-graders met with President Murray and State Representatives Tom Calter and Vinny deMacedo and learned about the history of the Senate Chamber as well as some interesting facts about the state government.
βThe State House is a remarkable place,β President Murray said. βStudents are welcome here. It is important for them to have an understanding of state government and the unique role it plays in our nationβs history.β

Fourth-grade teachers, Bobbi Sue Eagan and Rebecca Rosen, reflected on the importance of the field trip.
βThe children were excited to visit and hear about the history of our state government,β Eagan said.
