David Mallett at The Spire, Jake Hill Opens

Plymouth’s Spire Center for Performing Arts presents an evening of singer/songwriters, David Mallett and Jake Hill, in concert Friday, May 30th, 8 pm at 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth.

In a career spanning four decades, David Mallett has recorded 14 albums, had several hundred covers of his songs, including the American folk classic Garden Song [Inch by Inch, Row by Row] and performed in clubs, concert halls and festivals across the US, Canada and Europe. He has appeared on numerous broadcasts, including National Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion. Known for his carefully written, poetic offerings, his body of work has provided material for an eclectic list of artists that includes Alison Krauss, Pete Seeger, Hal Ketchum, Emmylou Harris, John Denver and the Muppets.

Jake Hill is a common laborer and singer/songwriter from Plymouth, Massachusetts who has dedicated his life to the writing of as many of the best songs he can. He has written and recorded 6 LP’s and 3 Ep’s in his 10 year career.

Tickets for David Mallett are $20. Advance ticket purchases are recommended, seating is limited due to capacity. The Spire is handicap accessible, public parking is available streetside, and in public lots in close proximity.
