DCR Worker At Myles Standish State Forest Slashed In Face: Police

The worker was treated at the scene, and police have yet to find the woman who they say attacked the DCR employee.

CARVER, MA — A department of conservation and recreation worker at Myles Standish State Forest in Carver was slashed in the face by a woman who was denied entry to a non-accessible area over the weekend, state police confirmed.

On Saturday, a 63-year-old employee was attacked at Barrett's Pond by a woman after she told her the gate was closed and no one was allowed entry.

Police say the woman slashed the worker in the face and inflicted a superficial injury before leaving the scene with a man.

The two were seen leaving the area in an older model dark-colored Toyota coupe, heading toward Long Pond Road towards Plymouth.

Police describe the woman as a Hispanic woman with a thin build, she was wearing a blue T-shirt and bathing suit at the time. She was accompanied by a Black man who was wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.

The worker was treated at the scene by EMS and declined to be taken to the hospital.
