Duxbury Resident Supports Mission to End and Prevent Homelessness

Board member and Duxbury resident, Christopher Sherman, was among one of many guests that attended Homestart's 20th Annual Gala

On September 20, 2014 HomeStart hosted its annual Gala which was also celebrating the organization’s 20th anniversary. HomeStart is a nonprofit that seeks to end and prevent homelessness in the Boston area. Over the past 20 years, HomeStart has helped over 6,000 people find housing and have helped over 3,000 families and individuals avoid eviction. Silent and live auctions as well as ticket sales, sponsorships and donations raised over $415,000 at the event, held at the Westin Waterfront hotel in Boston. It was the largest amount ever raised at a HomeStart gala.
