The app Massachusetts Alerts notifies users of issues that may affect the Town of Plymouth.
In case of an environmental emergency, the app gives information on evacuations, power outages and disaster safety tips.

Users also receive custom and instant notifications regarding public safety issues, weather emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, Amber Alerts about missing children, unsafe drinking water supplies and more.
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency launched the app in early September.
