The Committee to Elect Malcolm MacGregor to the Plymouth Planning Board will hold a campaign kickoff and fundraising event on Thursday, April 5, 6-9 PM at the Plymouth Yacht Club, 34 Union Street in downtown
Plymouth. Food will be served and there will be a cash bar.
Malcolm was first elected to the Planning Board in 1985 and served for 25 years, five as Chairman or Vice-Chairman. He also served on the Conservation Commission, Board of Health, Community Preservation Committee, Charter Committee and in other positions for a total of 40 years
of service.
Malcolm brings to the Planning Board a deep knowledge of Plymouthβs landscape, development history, and zoning bylaws. Heβs authored or co-authored a variety of regulations and planning studies and is currently
working to expand Plymouthβs hiking and biking trails.
Professionally, Malcolm is a professor at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and chairman of the Department of Environmental Protection, Safety and Emergency Management. He has lived in Plymouth with his family since 1972.
