For the Love of Miniatures with Agneta Domaszewicz

The Kingston Public Library will host an afternoon withΒ  local miniaturist Agneta Domaszewicz on Saturday,Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  October 15 from 2:00 to 3:30PM. She will be here discuss the fine art of creating miniature furniture and rooms.Β 

There will beΒ  a discussion of constructing items in I”, 1/2 β€œ, 1/4 β€œand 1/144” scale. You will receive recommendations for the tools, materialsΒ  and equipment that you canΒ  use toΒ Β Β  create your own miniatures. The display case will featureΒ  her miniature rooms and house throughout October.

Agneta has taken courses in many media to be able toΒ Β Β Β  create the doll house rooms. The rooms that she createsΒ Β  are designed for adult appreciation. Among her otherΒ Β  achievements she is adept in glass blowing, oil painting, wood carving, shell crafting, wood working and finishing. Her miniatures have been exhibited at several shows.Β

Agneta has a B.S. in physics from TuftsΒ  and worked at MIT’s Instrumentation Lab as a staff memberΒ  (now Draper Lab) until her retirement. She has worked on miniature optical systems for Air Force Projects and other classified material.Β
