Friends of Myles Standish State Forest Summer Star Hop

Join the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest for a starry night adventure. We will be learning about the night sky with local astronomer Mike Thompson-Renzi. He will begin the evening with a slide show about the world above.

We are fortunate to have dark skies in the forest, perfect for spending the rest of the evening looking through telescopes at Jupiter and other various Messier objects. We welcome you to bring your telescope or share ours. We hope to have a clear night. If
weather doesn't cooperate, we will reschedule for a later date.

June is a great time of year to see the Milky Way. We hope to see you there!

Location: Myles Standish State Forest, Conference Building, 194 Cranberry RD, Carver, MA 02330

The talk will take place at the MSSF Conference Building, just up the hill from the Headquarters. Look for a sign at the MSSF Headquarters parking area directing you there.

This event is handicap accessible and free to the public! Children over the age of 7 are welcome.
