On Saturday, September 8th, Island Creek Oysters Foundation will host its second annual beach-chic event, Friends for Haiti, benefitting Haiti’s Caribbean Harvest. By sustainably farming fish, Caribbean Harvest strives to re-make a domestic fishing industry, create jobs and provide nutrition and social programs for the people of Haiti.
The all-inclusive Friends for Haiti takes place under a spacious tent situated alongside the crashing waves of Duxbury Beach and will feature live cultural entertainment, a silent auction and a cigar lounge under the stars. Friends for Haiti unite some of the best chefs, winemakers, brewers and farmers from around the east coast highlighting local oysters, food, music and libations.
