This February, the Kingston Public Library gallery will feature an exhibit of oil paintings by Kingston resident Marie Kaiser. This exhibit, βTodayβs Journeyβ, will include landscapes of Colorado, flowers and other scenes. There will be a reception held for Marie on Saturday, February 4 from 2 to 4pm in the Childrenβs Activities Room.
Originally from Colorado, Marie and her family moved to Kingston in 1987.Β She has always loved art and a desire to express herself in different mediums. Β She says,βart moves me and is important to have around me. It has the ability to brighten my day and lighten my caresβ. She paints primarily in oils, but looks forward to working in watercolors, acrylics and pastels.
Β Marie joined Violet Berryβs Council On Aging Oil Painting Class last year. There were several of her pieces included in last Novemberβs exhibit of the works by the Council On Aging oil painting class. Β
