Meet the Maestro XVIIII

Steven Karidoyanes, Music Director of the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra will introduce the public to the 2012 – 2013 Philharmonic’s 97th season at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the Otto Fehlow Meeting Room at the Plymouth Public Library. This season celebrates Conductor Karidoyanes’s 19th appearance at the Plymouth Public Library.

Come share in the behind-the-scenes stories about the beauty of classical music. Learn about the music from a classical music announcer/producer who is a frequent fill-in host for Boston’s WGBH Radio and has worked for National Public Radio affiliates in North Carolina and Indiana. Karidoyanes, a Boston native, is also the Director of the New England Conservatory Youth Symphony. Past guest conducting engagements include Hungary’s Savaria Symphony Orchestra, the Prague (CZ) Symphony Chamber Orchestra, the Syracuse Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic and orchestras in the Washington, D.C. region.

Hear highlights from the 97th season, including Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, Vaughan Williams and Brahms, as well as the French Connection, Debussy, Charbrier and Berlioz; then visit with the Maestro at the reception immediately following the program and pick up brochures for concert dates.
