The Plymouth History in Glass exhibit at the Pilgrim Hall Museum takes you on a four century journey through "The Artifacts and Culture of Beverages and Drinking". Beginning with the drinks of the Pilgrims during the 1620 Mayflower excursion to America and ending with times more familiar to us; you will learn about different beverages, when they were popular and why; and how they were consumed; and by whom! You may be surprised to hear that a certain President of the United States began each day with hard cider and that it was once common to see children drinking beer!
The materials in this exhibit have been gathered from the Pilgrim Hall Musuem's own collection and also from those of various other museums, historical societies, and private collectors. It is sponsored by Eastern Bank. The Pilgrim Hall Museum will be closed on Christmas Day.
