Revolutionary Dastards & Heroes

The Plymouth Antiquarian Society invites the public to a free tour of Burial Hill to be held Saturday, October 6th at 1 pm. Encounter Plymouth's revolutionary past from the family plot of the patriotic Warrens to the graves of residents suspected of favoring the Crown in this one-hour tour guided by Dr. Donna Curtin.

Revolutionary Dastards & Heroes is part of the Antiquarian Society's new program, Burial Hill: History in Progress that will continue through the year 2020. Each year the Society will present a series of history expeditions on Burial Hill, one of America's oldest and most significant burying grounds. Tours will be offered on the first Saturday of every month at 1 pm (excepting January). Local historians Peg Baker, Stephen O'Neill and Karin Goldstein join Antiquarian Director Donna Curtin as tour guides, sharing their individual expertise on a range of topics.

Tours meet at the main Burial Hill stairway; no reservations are required for individuals and families. Participants may traverse steep and slippery slopes; please wear appropriate shoes. Severe weather may cancel tour; updates will be posted on the Plymouth Antiquarian Society website.
