South Shore Conservatory’s Vacation Week Glee Camp

Teens take on pop-star status over April vacation week with South Shore Conservatory’s Glee Camp, an intensive performance program designed for students grades seven through nine. Glee Camp provides five days of vocal coaching, choreography and performance technique, inspired by the hit television show. The program runs from April 16 to 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, at the Conservatory’s Duxbury campus, 64 St. George Street, Duxbury. Parents and friends are invited to the final performance on Friday, April 20 at 2 p.m.

At Glee Camp, teens are immersed in their favorite pop tunes as they rehearse both large and small group numbers. Coaching includes healthy vocal technique and style, stage presence, mic technique, movement and staging. Students also have the opportunity to perform a solo in the final performance if they wish. Glee Camp provides teens a chance to form friendships and confidence in a challenging, supportive setting, while imparting skills they can incorporate into their own school chorus and glee club experiences.

Now in its second year, Glee Camp features instructor Kelley DePasqua, Department Chairperson of Fine and Practical Arts at Silver Lake Regional High School. For more than 15 years she has been an educator at Silver Lake Regional High School, where she directs five choirs and an award-winning musical theater program.
