The Big Read festival at The Book Shack

THE BIG READ SURE TO BE A SENSATIONAL FAMILY FESTIVAL

Kingston, Mass., February 21, 2012 – Experience the power of written and spoken word from popular childrens authors, enjoy delightful performances and lots of free activities at The Big Read Family Festival at the Book Shack, March 24 &25^th from 10-5pm.

The Big Read Festival is sure to be a fun filled experience for the whole family.  This free event will feature best-selling authors like Sarah Albee, writer of Dora the Explorer, Elmo and SpongeBob Squarepants television based books, Gretchan Pyne, writer of the Lulu Belle series, Peter Arenstam, of Plimouth Plantation, author of Felix and His Mayflower II Adventures and Jana Dillon author of the Lucky O’Leprechaun books. Other entertainment will include Mike the Fireman, Big Ryan Tall Tales, Princess Julie, Big Joe the Storyteller, face painting and balloon creations.  Gift cards and prizes will be given away every half hour.

We have a number of great vendors including The Plimoth Plantation, The Mass PTA, Becky Grassi who will be selling Tupperware for all of your needs and various other local businesses to name a few.

The Big Read Festival is designed to create awareness for reading.  Expanding childrens minds to the power of written word, exploring their imagination and expanding their creativity.
