'The Rising at Roxbury Crossing' Author Reading

Former Massachusetts State Trooper and novelist James Redfearn (The Rising at Roxbury Crossing (http://therisingatroxburycrossing.com/) will sign copies of his book and conduct a reading from it at a Plymouth Rotary meeting at the John Carver Inn, 25 Summer St, Plymouth on Monday, April 9, beginning at Noon.

The Rising at Roxbury Crossing (Olde Stony Brook Publishing, Publication Date: May 21, 2012, ISBN No. 978-0-9839960-5-7, $18.95) is compelling fiction centering on men and women at the nexus of three seminal events in early 20th Century history: the Irish Rebellion, America's Red Scare, and the Boston Police Strike.

According to its author, first-time novelist at age 69 James Redfearn, the novel also serves as a metaphor for themes that resonate in American society today: xenophobia, acceptance or rejection of immigrants and, as our national Pledge of Allegiance states it, "justice for all."
