3 Swingin' Tenors

The Plymouth Public Library presents national recording artists 3 Swingin’ Tenors, the third of four summertime "Concerts on the Lawn”, Thursday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m.

The 3 Swingin’ Tenors – Jack Alessi, Steve Marvin and Jim Porcella – will perform music from the Great American Songbook and some of America’s most beloved entertainers.

The free, one-hour concerts are held on the spacious front lawn of the main library, 132 South St., Plymouth. Concert-goers are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair, sunscreen, and a picnic lunch to enjoy before the concert. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the Otto Fehlow Meeting Room on the first floor of the main library.

The 13th annual "Concerts on the Lawn" are held in conjunction with the Library’s summer reading program. This year’s themes are "Between the Covers" for adults and "Own the Night" for teens. The 2012 Statewide Summer Reading Adventures are sponsored by the Plymouth Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and the Boston Bruins.

The final concert in the series, featuring country western singer Kiley Evans, will take place on Thursday, August 16th. For more information please contact Jennifer Harris, Sharon LaRosa or Margaret McGrath at 508-830-4250 or see the Calendar of Events.
