Vision Awareness Day

Wednesday, June 15, 2011, the Plymouth Public Library and Perkins School for the Blind will host a Vision Awareness Day program at the Main Library, 132 South Street, Plymouth. The program will be held from 10:30 am to noon in the Otto Fehlow Room on the Library’s first floor.

If you or someone you know struggles with low vision, you may find the solutions at the Library’s Vision Awareness Day. Dr. John A. Child, O.D., Low Vision Specialist with Cape Cod Vision Associates in Falmouth, will be the guest speaker on the medical conditions related to low vision. Dr. Child will be joined by staff of Perkins School for the Blind and the School’s Perkins Products division, who will demonstrate the use of technology to assist with everyday tasks such as reading and computing for the home, work, or classroom.

Please call 617-972-7254 to reserve a seat for the program. For more information on the Vision Awareness Day, please call Sharon LaRosa, 508-830-4250, ext. 219. The Library is fully accessible; please let us know in advance if you require special accommodations in order to attend.
