Fatal Crash in Plymouth

A man died in a crash on Route 3 in Plymouth Friday afternoon.

State Police said the victim was a 39-year-old man from Dover. His name was not immediately released.

He was a passenger in a 2012 Mercedes C300 driven by a 74-year-old woman, also from Dover, police said. She was injured and expected to survive. Her name was not released.

Police said the vehicle was traveling north when it veered off the road and slammed into a sign post in the median near Exit 6B.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 2:20 p.m.
