Fatal Fireplace Log Attack In West Bridgewater: DA

WEST BRIDGEWATER, MA — A West Bridgewater man was arrested Monday on charges he beat a woman to death with a fireplace log, authorities said. Danny Lopes, 44, murdered the woman at his Providence Road home, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz. He was arrested in Rhode Island and held pending an arraignment.

Officials said the murder weapon was a fireplace log, according to The Enterprise.
