Go Under the Hood with Wayne Carini

Meet Wayne Carini, a famous auto restorer and collector, at Heritage Museums & Gardens on July 11

Join Wayne Carini, master restorer, owner and operator of three specialty restoration shops, and the star of the TV series Chasing Classic Cars to go inside the world of elite car restorers and collectors. He will share how his father Bob’s work as an auto restorer influenced him from a young age and will discuss his father’s early 1960s restoration of the 1927 Lincoln Sport Touring car in Heritage’s collection. This car has recently been reactivated and will be displayed especially for this program. Learn what drives Wayne’s personal collecting, and hear stories illustrating all of the collecting motives explored in the Driven to Collect exhibit, including the thrill of the chase, defining a collection, and pursuing value. He will also explore the impact of condition and restoration on auto collecting.

Tickets include museum admission and are $20 for Members and $35 for Non-Members. Tickets can be purchased online.
