Hammond Residential in Hingham to Host Local Artists' Show
Exhibit features work by Trish Turner and Donna Goes

HINGHAM, Mass. (October 16, 2014) – Jeff Forsythe, manager of Hammond Residential Real Estate’s Hingham office located at 98 South Street, is pleased to announce that the office will exhibit works by members of Hull Artists Trish Turner and Donna Goes through March 2015. An opening reception in connection with this exhibit will be held on Sunday, November 2 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. The artists will be present to discuss their works and most displayed works will be offered for purchase.
For nearly twenty years, Hull Artists has been a fixture on the South Shore cultural scene. Member artists are established, award-winning professionals who work in media such as watercolors, mixed media, oils, pastels, photography, mosaic, stained glass, acrylic, woodcrafts, pottery, and hand-crafted jewelry. Many of these artists offer art classes through the organization, which recently opened a new gallery space, Gallery Nantasket, at 121 Nantasket Avenue in Hull.
Boston-born Trish Turner has always delighted in the visual world. Floral prints, wide florescent stripes, and large blue polka dots were her pallet for her handmade wardrobe in high school. Graduating magna cum laude from Framingham State with a double major in Studio and The History of Fine Art, she has kept her art alive with many continuing education classes, workshops, and internships. These led to a decade of scene painting, styling, and propping for Jordan Marsh, Ports International, Disney, Coors, Honda, The Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and numerous other national and international venues.

Born in Brockton, Donna Goes earned her BFA in Fashion Design from Massachusetts College of Art. Following college, she worked for a short time in a gallery and frame shop before accepting a position at Hasbro, Inc., where she has worked on and off for more than twenty-five years. After recently relocating to Hull, her Paragon Park memories, coupled with the discovery of some old postcards, led her to design and make digitally printed pillows that captured those times. Her method of art-making comes from a driving desire to constantly try new things. Her latest work uses common plastic bags destined for landfill. She loves the spontaneity of not knowing how the material will react and what it will become. Knowing the outcome is like reading the last page of the book before you begin. For her, the beauty lies in the unplanned journey.
Throughout its twenty-two year history, Hammond Residential Real Estate has made the visual and performing arts the primary focus of its corporate philanthropy. “We believe in giving back to the communities that we serve through free events focused on the many local artists who make our community an exciting and vibrant place to live,” stated Jeff Forsythe. “We are pleased to partner with the Hull Artists organization, which has been an esteemed community resource for twenty years. In addition to our fine arts exhibits, we also sponsor a series of free chamber music concerts that highlight the talents of emerging performers,” he said.
