Hingham Comes Back, Beats Plymouth North Football, 14-10
Hingham's two touchdowns in the fourth quarter sealed the victory against Plymouth North.
PLYMOUTH, MA- The Plymouth North Eagles football team traveled to Hingham on Saturday Afternoon to face the Harbormen. The game was originally scheduled on Friday but was postponed to Saturday Afternoon due to a prediction of bad weather. Plymouth North is coming off being shut out by Duxbury last Friday night.
In the first half, Plymouth North struck the scoreboard first by a 44-yard run by junior quarterback Dallas Murphy with 1:22 left in the 1st quarter. Then at the end of the first half, kicker Alec Peruzzi kicked a 20-yard field goal to extend Plymouth North’s lead to 10-0.
In the second half, Plymouth North senior Matt Riordan intercepted Hingham quarterback Dylan Pierce. In the fourth quarter, Hingham came back with two touchdowns. First was a Pierce 30-yard strike to senior Matt Lahiff and the other was a 2-yard run by Will Griffin. Plymouth North’s last two drives were stopped by the Hingham defense. Plymouth North lost 14-10 to Hingham.
